Ma'at is a Pop/Soul artist raised in Houston, TX. Inspired by artists, such as Lauryn Hill, Corinne Bailey Rae, and Adele, Ma’at is able to combine captivating melodies with universally understood lyrical themes to create compositions for all listeners. Her soulful voice and effortless range allows her to create music that fully immerses her listeners in her story.

From a young age, it was clear that Ma’at had a talent for performing. At the age of seven, Ma'at got her start in performance through school and at summer theatre camps at Howard University. During her time in Elementary School, Ma’at held the lead roles in numerous school productions, already on her way to being the confident front woman that she is today. Her interest in performing continued as she participated in fine arts and musical theatre programs in Middle School and at the High School for Performing and Visual Arts.

Talent paired with hard work and passion, in 2011, Ma'at was a finalist on X Factor USA's first season as the youngest performer of the season. One of 10 individuals part of the kids' group, inTENsity, the group soared to the Top 12 before being eliminated. While a contestant on X Factor USA, Ma'at was mentored by Paula Abdul and had the opportunity to learn from the show's judges, Simon Cowell, LA Reid, and Nicole Scherzinger.

Since then, Ma'at has performed at numerous venues and events across the Houston, TX and Los Angeles, CA areas, including Springboard South Music Festival, OC Hit Factory Music Studio Showcase, Hollywood Talent Show, Star Singer Studio Showcase, Music World Studio Showcase, and the SuperBowl XVIII Showcase live. ​Ma'at also had the amazing opportunity to sing on stage with Adele at her Houston concert in 2016.

Ma'at graduated from Loyola University New Orleans in 2021. While being in New Orleans, Ma’at performed at many local music venues, including House of Blues and Tipitina’s. Currently, Ma’at is located in Los Angeles, CA. In addition to working on her own music, Ma’at continues to collaborate with other artists as a songwriter and performer.
